Advocates for a Community College Education

For Students

ACCE provides financial resources to facilitate a Cape Cod Community College education. We exist to fund and mentor up and coming students that meet our criteria. The hallmark of our program is that each recipient receives not only financial support, but mentor support from two of our ACCE mentors. While many programs target the top students in their class, we're looking to provide for students who’ve shown consistent improvement and a willingness to grow.  The criteria for an Advocates scholarship are:

  • Willing participant with ACCE mentor and support program
  • Passion and desire to succeed
  • Record of extracurricular work and/or volunteerism required

Students should contact us if they have any questions or would like detailed information as to when scholarship assistance will be available

The Mentoring Process

Mentoring  is a unique aspect of the program and a key element of the ACCE charter.

Two ACCE mentors will be assigned to each student prior to their first semester, and will meet with them twice a month. Why two mentors? – to ensure student support is available at all times in case emergency need arises. Secondly, co-mentoring teams will be more effective in supporting you,  the student. In general, the mentor role is to be a coach and support person.

The power of the ACCE mentor program is invaluable. We can help you stay on track with your academic goals, because we’ve been there ourselves, and are committed to being the extra support system when you need it.
